All the Grades are In
While I didn't do as well as I wanted to in all of my classes, and I definitely didn't finish in the amount of time I had originally planned for, I'm finally finished with college. I don't have a full time job as of yet, however there are some things that I need to learn still before I feel like I will be completely ready to have a job as a programmer.
In the Meantime
While I work on learning the skills I feel like I am lacking, I will be finishing the WoW Diabetes project. I will also be working on a few side projects. I haven't decided in what order that I'm going to be doing them, but I know the things I'd like to do. I'm going to finally take the time to finish Space Invaders. I also had an idea earlier in the year for a game I'm calling Destructo Mutt. Another thing I'd like to do is to contribute to the CodeCombat project. These are just a few of the things that I hope to work on while continuing my search for a job.
The other thing I'd like to do more of is blogging. Even if I'm not necessarily programming every week, I'd like to talk about what I've been doing each week. Sometimes I'll talk about playing video games, sometimes about making them. I'll also probably talk about books and other random things as well.
Something that I've been dealing with for the past couple of weeks is the possibility of a Guild Merge. My guild has been slowly losing members to real life and other guilds, and while I wasn't sad to see some of them go, others were harder to see go. Because of this we no longer have enough members to raid without having to find random people to join us as well. We tried raiding with one guild, however they seemed to be very elitist. We're currently trying another guild that seems to be mostly going well. Hopefully in the next couple of days we'll have made a decision and I can get back to killing bosses instead of trying to figure out if we'll have enough people to kill bosses.
